President & CEO
Marc Menendez is currently the Co-Founder, President & CEO of WorkCompEDI, a leading clearinghouse in the electronic data interchange (EDI) industry focused on serving the workers’ compensation, auto and personal injury markets.
In addition to his present duties at WorkCompEDI, Marc also actively serves as Managing Partner & COO of ANDA Systems (a software engineering company focused on customized big data technology SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions), as Chairman of WCEDI Management Solutions, LLC (a Business Process Outsource (BPO) company providing OCR / KFI and custom printing outsource services), and owner/operator of Xtreme-Speed (an athletic performance facility).
Recently in his career, Marc served as the President & CEO of AgencyRTS (a recruiting, training & staffing organization in the insurance & financial services industry launched in partnership with State Farm Insurance Corporate), and as President & COO of Tesia-PCI Clearinghouse (the pioneer of real-time claims processing and second largest dental EDI clearinghouse). Prior, Marc also held positions of VP of Sales & Marketing for Affiliated Network Services (a dental Medicaid clearinghouse vendor) and National Sales Director of Pharmaceuticals & Medical-Surgical Markets for SMG Marketing Group, a division of Quintiles Transnational Corporation, and owner of Academic Credential Evaluations, an academic credential evaluations and translations company. Pre-1999, Marc held positions in the pharmaceutical industries at Forest Pharmaceuticals / Inwood Laboratories as well as stints at firms in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets arenas.
Marc is an active leader and volunteer in his industry and community. He has served as Treasurer, Board Member and Committee Chairman for numerous industry specific associations, and is an avid volunteer coach for many youth sports clubs throughout the Chicagoland area.
Marc received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University in the City of New York, and currently resides in Naperville, IL with his wife Susan and two sons, Alexander and Nikolas.
Senior Vice President
Brendan Friar is the Senior Vice President of WorkCompEDI and brings extensive experience in implementing and streamlining internal operations and interconnectivity for leading managed care, claims payor and provider organizations. The systems, solutions, and workflow process improvements Brendan has been a proponent of instituting within the healthcare and workers’ compensation markets have produced documented levels of EDI utilization and productivity further expanding the pursuit of the “paperless organization”.
Prior to WorkCompEDI, Brendan held the position of Executive Vice President and led business development, IT and operational efforts for Health eConnex, a leading outsource provider of mission-critical electronic data interchange (EDI), document management and conversion services.
Brendan received a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah, and resides in Mount Prospect, IL with his wife Cherie and two sons, Jack and Will.
